Gmail data use

SayScholar is a private shared funding workspace. Connecting Gmail is optional and requires the mailbox owner’s Google authorization.

The connection requests read-only Gmail access. It reads recent message text and headers from the dedicated mailbox, suggests application matches, and flags funding responses for human review. It does not send mail, delete messages, mark them read, change labels or confirm application outcomes automatically. Attachments are not downloaded.

Relevant response excerpts and message identifiers are stored in the owner’s protected Cloudflare workspace and are visible to its authorized members. Authorization credentials are encrypted separately and are excluded from workspace exports. Matching uses local rules; message content is not sent to an external AI service.

Google user data is not sold, used for advertising or used to train general-purpose AI models. Use and transfer of Google API data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect in Workspace or revoke access from your Google Account. Disconnecting stops future imports; existing review records remain until the workspace owner removes them. For questions or deletion requests, contact the person who invited you to the private workspace.
